Weather wins again in South Jersey

Bridgeport, NJ – Weather wins again in South Jersey. Due to the dismal forecast and pop up thunderstorms Bridgeport Speedway has been forced to cancel the Joy Auto Parts – ‘Powder Puff’ event.

“I feel like we just keep hitting the repeat button this season,” offered track owner Brian Ramey. “We were fortunate enough to get in back to back Saturdays and now we’re forced with the though decision to cancel today,” Ramey added.

Bridgeport’s 5/8 will be back in action on Tuesday, Aug 21 for Hand 3 of the 811 Dig Safe Poker Series. The Spirit Auto Center Big Blocks will race in a 40-lap affair paying $4,000 to the winner. The Stewart Stainless 602 Crate-Sportsman will join the Big Blocks on Tuesday.
