Bridgeport Announces 2017 K&A Excavating & Cray Motorsports Kid Zone Sponsors
Bridgeport Speedway prides itself in not just being a ‘race track’ but more of an entertainment complex for all their fans. “When you come to a race at Bridgeport, we want our fans’ experience to more like an event,” explained general manager Danny Serrano. “Besides the great action on the track, our goal is to entertain our customers in other ways as well. I’d like to thank our two sponsors this year for coming on board and letting us continue what we’ve created since 2013. Having the sponsorship has allowed Bridgeport to purchase a brand new ‘bounce house’ and several ‘selfie stations’ for our young fans. The children are our future race fans,” added Serrano. Bridgeport also looks to expand the Kidz Zone and add more to it as the season progresses.
Long-time car owner and former driver Kevin Bifulco has become a big fan of Bridgeport Speedway in his handful of visits to the South Jersey facility. “I really like what they do for the fans over on the other side. I’m usually in the pits but from what I’ve seen and heard Bridgeport is extremely fan-friendly. We need the kids to have fun when they come to the races and the parents to want to bring them too,” Bifulco explained.

David Cray of Edward H. Cray Inc. also commonly known as Cray Electric located out of Trenton, NJ, has always had a ‘soft spot’ for the kids at the trace tracks. “We’ve always helped out when it comes to the children at these race tracks. What kid doesn’t wanna come to see the races and get to go home with something extra,” offered Cray. Cray Electric has donated bicycles, fishing poles, and all kinds of giveaways over the years.
Clay Butler is the current driver of the No. 4B Big and Small Block cars for Cray Motorsports. Butler will be calling Bridgeport Speedway his home in 2017 while also competing in select shows at other venues. Butler won the NES Sportsman track championship while driving for Cray Motorsports in 2015. David’s cousin Todd Cray has several track championships while teaming up with Cray Motorsports in the former NES Super Stock division. Cray Motorsports also fields cars in Legends racing, bandolero cars and drag racing.
Adding more to David Cray’s resume is the former Buck Baker Driving School which Cray purchased a few years ago. The school is now known as Seat Time Racing located out of North Carolina.
